peripheries in parallax
BRAVE NEW PERIPHERIES
We invite artists and researchers from all fields to propose a conference presentation, commentary essay, or manifestation on peripheries and peripheral approaches, phenomena and sites by way of artistic research in spring 2021 as we open 4 x 1-day scenes for discussing peripheries through a parallax lens.
The notion of peripheries can root to a number of discourses dealing with operations of arts, language, psyche, architecture, institution, politics, biology, economics, sustainability and other areas of human and nonhuman activity. Welcome to join us in considering the conceptual, practical, methodological or epistemological questions and stakes in the frame of peripheral or marginal phenomena and/or perspective. What kinds of aesthetic, artistic, social, political, ethical and legal implications may ‘peripheral approach’ bring fore?
